What can I do for you?
As a copyeditor with five years of experience (with an additional five years of complementary technical experience), I can offer a wide array of editing services for your project. These include basic cleanup of a few typos, thorough copyediting for spelling and grammar, or full rewrites, all designed to make things clearer and more concise for your audience.
Are you a tabletop RPG publisher?
Rules proofing is one of the specialized services available. Beyond simple typos and grammar issues, this allows you to ensure your math is correct, rules are consistent within the product and with core rules, and maps and images match their corresponding text.
Have a website?
It never hurts to have a second set of eyes confirm your links or catch any minor mistakes that may have crept into the website.
Perhaps you're getting ready to print your webcomic as a graphic novel?
I can proofread your comic before you send it to the printer.
Need someone who’s not only capable of reading a technical document but also knows the language involved?
My degree is in engineering, and I worked in the field for five years.
Have a manuscript that requires someone’s honest opinion?
I can provide you with a balanced but honest critique of your fiction, before you send it to a publisher.
Who am I?
I’m a freelance copyeditor from New Jersey. Although I now work for companies such as Catalyst Game Labs, Green Ronin, and Dark Quest Games, it seems I was always the one asked to write and edit the technical documentation when I worked as an engineer. Since 2003, I have combined my experience with my "eye" for seeing mistakes and discrepancies, and I have switched my career focus to being a full-time freelance copyeditor.
